Kleio

Kleio is a vibrator for women and couples.

Kleio is a uniquely designed vibrator, created for women between the ages of 35 and 55. It’s about empowering couples to prioritize their sexual intimacy, to feel fulfilled, sensual and confident. It is designed with an acute awareness of women and their partner’s needs, based on extensive user-centered research with couples.

Designing Kleio meant developing a set of tools which would help me to understand the unique needs of a specific set of users. After testing a live workshop method and failing spectacularly, I went on to develop an online storyboarding tool which gave participants the visual language to communicate about very intimate experiences.

Sustainability was also a key driver for Kleio. I did extensive research, which included consultation with the wonderful Michael Braungart, in order to develop a closed-loop cycle into which Kleio could be placed.
